View Full Version : Buying weight machines...
one1 Thu, June 3rd, 2004, 11:00 AM I want to try Max-OT, and read up on the workouts and everything... but I do not have a pulley system for Lat Pulldown or a cable for rows. Does anyone know any website, or any store that sells this equipment for cheap?? I am going to go look around at local stores today, but if anyone can recommend anything that is not that expensive, I would REALLY appreciate it... After looking around I am getting depressed that I will have to pay so much...
I know what you are all thinking, why don't you just go to the gym and pay $30 a month? Well, truth is I do not have the time in my day to drive to the gym and back every single day, AND I really hate the idea of lifting around other people... I know a lot of you find this silly, but I have a slight disorder that really makes me feel out of place, esspecially at a gym... I wouldn't care if everyone there was SMALLER than me, I still wouldn't like it...

HunkOLove Thu, June 3rd, 2004, 11:29 PM I own this particular powertec equipment and I love it. Note that it uses Olympic weight plates to load it. You can pick up a 300 lbs set at Dick's or Dunhams etc. for like $99 bucks.

Ohhh... I wouldn't even have noticed that. So it is really $299+Shipping, which still isn't too bad, but will set me (an 18 year old fast food worker) back quite a lot... Thanks for the replies guys!

naturalofcourse Fri, June 4th, 2004, 02:17 PM I know for a fact that the Powertec stuff isn't adjustable. I own a bunch of their equipment.

The tower portion is fixed height and welded.
