First off, hello folks... first post on these forums after reading behind the scenes for a month or so.

I just want to check what I am doing is ok...

To set the stage as it were, I am 19, 5"11'. Was 14st on the nose about a year ago, got down unintentionally to about 13st4 due to not eating properly...

2 months ago (at about 13st 4lbs) I decided to change lifestyle yada yada bla bla... basically eat properly, and exercise.

I am now about 12st 8lb...still with pretty high BF though :(

This is what I have been doing over the last 2 months...

Gym roughle 5 times a week... every visit at least 30mins cardio, normally about 45mins. Pretty intense stuff, sometimes mixing in abit of HIIT. 3x a week doing weights for about 45mins each time.

Now I have lose a couple of inch on the waist, and I think I have increased muscle mass on my arms... although that could be due to fat loss ?

I have recorded my diet over the past week or so, does it look ok ?

27/05/2004 9am - Crunchy nut cereal + milk
1pm - fish steak + 2 garlic bread + water
4:30pm - fish steak, half tuna, 2 sausage + water
7 - 10pm - 3 apples, water

28/05/2004 10am - Oatmeal + apple + lots of water
1pm - fish steak + 1 small garlic bread + apple + water
5:30pm - large pasta & sauce + half tuna + cup of tea

29/05/2004 11am - oatmeal + water + apple
2:30pm - tuna, water
5pm - apple
7pm - 2 burgers, 2 garlic bread, latte, water

30-May 9am - Oatmeal, water
12:30pm - tuna, water
4pm - 2 chicken rolls, yoghurt, cup of tea
9pm - chicken/tuna sandwich, apple, water

31-May 10am - pj smoothie, water, oatmeal
1pm - apple
2pm - cheese ham sarny, coke, water
7pm - tuna, chicken rolls, yoghurt, water
01-Jun 10am - pj smoothie, oatmeal
12pm - apple, water

My main concern is I have not lost that much weight/fat .... only like 8 lbs in 2 months, which could be 50% water :s

I am thinking maybe I am not eating enough ? ...could that lead to retaining fat ?

Anyway, look forward to your comments :P

Could I see exact numbers of the calories carbs fat and protein you consume? Also you seem to be still drinking coke. That is one of the first things i gave up when started dieting. Also based on how intense your cardio workout is you could be starving or even burning your muscles. Try reducing cardio to days you dont do weight training. See how it goes from there.

As for the coke thing, was the first glass I had in months... social thing, forgot all about a cordial instead . oops.

Ill try lowering the cardio, ie only do say 5/10 mins to warmup on weight days... and see how it goes as you say.

Brutha, your diet needs serious work!

Sausage, garlic bread, milk, cereal, LARGE pasta, yogurt,
sandwiches w/cheese, etc...........

Not good at all for your goals.

yea, loose the cheese.. :)

also, try to spread your meals out? i mean, chicken roll + jogurht (sp) + Garlic bread.. try to eat just the chicken roll.. and then an hours or 2 later, eat the joghurt (sp?) and drop the garlic bread?? i think that has a lot of fat.. ..

just eat less at your meals.. try to onaly eat a little bit (50 grams or 60g if u want(uncooked)) of oatmeal for breakfast.. of course cut some fruits in there and add 100 ml of milk if you want.. then later eat an apple.. then at lunch eat only the fishsteak.. and how are you prepareing it?? try to use a healthy oil if your frying it.. eat garlic bread later on (2 hours later?, but before your workout) then for dinner.. eat some tuna.. or something low carbs, like have a protein shake? then maybe buy some pnuts and eat a small handfull near bedtime..

Holy Chicken of the sea :d_eek: .. little bit 2 much for that late.. just the patties of meat maybe.. but if those are freid, then avoid them at all times.... :eat: and maybe eat the 2 patties within a 1-2 hour time frame

Poiints noted chaps, thanks for your advice. They were only small portions, honest :o

Gonna switch cardio / weights to seperate days and pay closer attention to the diet.

Will report back :tu:
