Anyone wanna give an opinion? I loooooove cheese and have been satisfying myself with the occasional teaspoon of parmesan, but.....
sometimes you just want a big hunk of cheese!!

sometimes you just want a big hunk of cheese!!As a long-time former veggie, I tried and learned to enjoy many, many things. Soy cheese was not one of them. I've not tried this particular brand of cheese, but none of these soy cheeses I've tried were even remotely good. :(

Why not just have some cheese and fit in your macros? There are health benifits to eating real dairy products, including cheese. Just don't over do it.

Besides, I work in the dairy industry - so that veggie cheese is just plain blasphemy!

I'm goin with John & Aaron on this one -- I just fit "real" cheese into my spreadsheet.

Shoot, I fit a trip to Rubios (http://www.rubios.com/main.html) (nutrition PDF (http://www.rubios.com/nutritional/nutritionalinfo.pdf)) into my diet! If I can do that a few slices of cheese is nuthin :)

The only thing I pay attention to with cheese is the sodium content. I'm trying to limit my sodium intake to the RDA, and cheese is notoriously high in the ol' Na.

I never had much luck until I tried Veggie Slices... I've always been able to find them at the local Safeway, where they are usually in one of the produce coolers (with the bagged lettuce, chilled salad dressing, etc.). I've seen them at other stores too... check out the company's website to see where they might be sold near you: http://www.galaxyfoods.com/veg_brands.html . They taste and feel as close to real cheese as I've found without having it moo in a past life... I recommend the Pepper Jack variety ;) .

I must admit I do enjoy the veggie cheeses, especially as I don't eat dairy (apologies to the poster who works in the industry)

I think the Veggie Shreds go great as salad toppers! Although, I will certainly admit that they can be very tricky to bake with.
