I'm not sure how many of you use instant messaging, but I thought it would be cool for some of us to get the support a little more 'instant' and personal. Not quite a workout buddy, but a little more effecient than sending personal messages. A lot of us are taking the same steps John did, and are going through the same ups and downs.. Just an idea...

If you do any IM'ing from more than one accout (say ICQ & yahoo), take a look at the program called "trillian". It will allow you to use yahoo, msn, icq, irc, and aol all in the same. To get, go to www.download.com.

I use aim, but my privacy only allows people on my buddy list to see me. If anyone is interested in talking to me, send a private message with your screen name and I'll add it to my list.

Gotta thank the Pr0n advertisers (aka Ifriends) for that, eh? I really wish I could open my buddy list back up, but every time I do I get slammed by random msgs wanting me to buy... something.

maybe John can add the IM mod's for vBulletin, where it shows an ICQ, AIM, MSN, etc icon if you have defined screennames for those apps.

I don't give out my AIM screen name. I get about ...20+ IM's a day from people I've never spoken to before thinking I'm Jim Root from Slipknot because my screen name is something similar and I eventually played along. Heh. Silly me..
