I'm a photography student, and last week in my studio photography class we had a model come sit for us while we practiced lighting patterns and posing techniques (not bodybuilding posing :D ). I wasn't crazy about the background, but I wasn't given any choice in the matter. Anyway, the model was handsome and rugged.... and my husband!! Check it out! As a photographer myself, I always found portraits to be the toughest to shoot. They all look good, but I think the one in the lower left (#5790) is an excellent shot... the lighting and composition seem just right... the face is emphasized nicely, with the body just slightly out of focus (but not enough to be distracting), and the pose looks comfortable, but not forced. I can see his personality easily, with the catch light in his eyes and that simple little grin... but I also see that "ruggedness" in your husband by having the light emphasize his five-o-clock shadow. Great shot... keep up the good work!
