Decided to start up my journal today. I started my fat loss program on May 7. I was planning on starting weights on the 31st, but I decided it would be more beneficial to start now as I have been getting good results with my fat loss. I decided the results of one more week of fat loss weren't worth my time when matched up against starting my weight workout. I figure I will see better fat loss since I am starting weights now rather than just strict cardio.

My measurements and stats:

May 7, 2004: Coming soon!

May 24, 2004: Coming soon!

Pictures also on the way.

I will be doing the following split starting today:

Monday: Back/Bi/Abs

Wednesday: Shoulders/Legs

Friday: Chest/Tri/Abs

*I will be adding a mixed bag of cardio on Tuesday/Thursday and possibly Saturday. Sunday will be strictly a rest day. My cardio will consist of different machines in either steady state or HIIT, sprints outside, basketball, or another cardio activity.

Diet: Clean eating. Measuring approximate calories in my head. I will eventually switch to tracking my calories on fitday.com.

Today's Workout:
Today's workout went well I thought considering it was the first time I've lifted weights in about 6 months. My arms fatigued pretty quickly and I am unhappy with the differences in strength between my right and left biceps. Worked the abs a decent amount and I'll be practicing the vacuum method starting tonight and on every MWF before I go to bed. Can't wait for tomorrow...Lakers game and basketball for cardio!

Well, I was planning on doing some time on the elliptical today, but all the machines were taken up so I decided to venture on over to the stair-stepper. I had been meaning to switch up the machines so my body didn't adjust to just one machine anyway and it most certainly worked! I went for 45 minutes, including a 5 minute cool down, and it was challenging! About 10 minutes into it I was considering stopping because it wasn't a breeze like the elliptical has been. Then every subsequent 10 minutes that went by I was considering stopping, but I stuck with it and pushed myself through the whole 40 minutes! Damn, what a workout though. I'm going to have to lay off the elliptical for a little bit so I can build up some well-rounded cardio abilities.
