What kind of price are we talking about here? I've always found the Designer Whey and the Optimum Nutrition Whey to be the best tasting, best priced whey protein out there.

BillS, I also use Pro-rated whey. Haven't tried any other whey products so I can't make an informed judgement. I figure a 6 lb jug for $20.00 at Costco will do me fine. Whey protein concentrate is the main ingredient followed by whey protein isolate. Unfortunately, I don't how much of each is present. Most of the designer wheys are isolate and are more expensive. Regardless, I'm going to keep using it as it helps me attain my protein needs at this early stage of transformation.

As for the whey.. Ive tried a few different ones.. my costco only has soy protein powder.. If they had a 6 lb of whey powder for 20 bones I would definately pick it up just to try it! The breakdown on their web site seems pretty good. I saw it on ebay for $29 not including shipping.. and it was $25 for 6 lb on their own site. I actually like the metrx that I am using now, but it needs a blender.

Well, I see that you're also in Norcal. If you're in the vicinity of Concord, Ca., the Costco there has Pro-rated as I mentioned above. Vanilla and chocolate, possibly strawberry flavors.

I'm up in Santa Rosa, but there is another costco in Rohnert park.. maybe I will check that one out. If not, next time my bro goes to costco (fremont) Iwill have him look there..

I recently got a 5lb jug of strawberry Pro-Rated whey. I like it.

You can get a 10lb bag of Optimum Nutrition protein for like $47. It also instantizes in water so you don't need a blender.

It tastes good too. ;)

I tried another costco and of course they didnt have pro rated whey.. stopped carrying it in favor of soy protein powder. So, I checked and they do have it at the costco where my folks live so I called and they are picking me up a 6 pounder.

Question, what do you do with the non flavored whey? mix it in with other food or drink?

well i just had my first "proper" serving of optimum whey, choc mint flavor ("proper" meaning according to my meal plan) and let me tell you it tasted GREAT!
i put 1/2cup oats, 1 scoop whey, and 1/4cup of skim milk
im going to be looking forward to eating this every morning, and trying all the great flavors
