View Full Version : [RESOLVED] Bug: Trouble viewing exercises / adding to work out
karlsson1978 Mon, April 5th, 2010, 12:44 PM When I click on a particular exercise, there is a pop up with a green question mark but nothing else. In addition I can't seem to add to my log. I don't think this is a bug, per se, was thinking it might more be a browser setting issue or something.
Anyone else having this problem?
karlsson1978 Mon, April 5th, 2010, 12:53 PM Now that I'm thinking about it, it may have something to do with my network settings since I'm at my office currently. Will check back when I'm on my home network.
raskew Mon, April 5th, 2010, 05:52 PM I have this same problem. I'm running a mac with parrellels. I've tried it with both Safari as my browser on the Mac side and with internet explorer on the Parallels side and I get the same thing as you.
What's the solution?
karlsson1978 Mon, April 5th, 2010, 07:07 PM yeah, not sure - I've tried on both google chrome and IE
John Stone Mon, April 5th, 2010, 07:09 PM Hey guys, we're aware of the thread and looking into this to see what might be going on. Matt should be posting a follow-up shortly...
John Stone Mon, April 5th, 2010, 07:13 PM Let me make sure I understand you guys. Are you simply browsing the exercise database from the "Exercises" selection on the main (left) menu? If so, what you are describing is correct. You'd need to go to the training section ("My Training" from the left menu), create a training program and add exercises there.
Super89Rex Mon, April 5th, 2010, 07:16 PM Could you guys paste a screen shot of what's happening and exact steps to replicate this. Are you in the edit or add new program screen? Whats the URL?
Thanks
karlsson1978 Mon, April 5th, 2010, 07:24 PM Sorry, not quite sure how to post a screenshot, but essentially I am, (i) clicking on exercises, (ii) searching an exercise (e.g. "deadlift"), then (iii) clicking on the "deadlift" text, after which a box emerges that is blank except for a green question mark in the upper right hand box - I'm assuming this should have details on the exercise, etc.
Additionally, when I go through the "my training" tab, I get the same problem and I cannot add exercises to the "add exercise" function; the screen pops up a bit and nothing happens beyond that.
Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to utilizing all the great tools you've created!

This is all too bizarre as I cannot reproduce... have you tried a different browser (IE or FireFox?)
karlsson1978 Mon, April 5th, 2010, 07:37 PM Hi, yeah tried on both IE and Chrome. My only other thought (as previously mentioned) is that I'm at work so perhaps this has something to do with the firewall here? This is beyond my technical depth though, so I may be way off.
smuhhh Mon, April 5th, 2010, 08:58 PM I thought I would chime in, as I think i am having the same problem. I remember clicking through various excercises while the body shop was still in beta testing mode and could see a description of the excercise and targeted muscle group(s). Now the screen appears to have finished loading but without any information. I tried several excercises and same thing each time.
John Stone Mon, April 5th, 2010, 09:16 PM I was not able to reproduce this in IE8, FireFox or Chrome, but I did just reproduce the error in IE7. This helps with the investigation. We should have a solution soon.
Turns out that this is a bug, so I'm moving the thread to the Bug Reports forum.
Super89Rex Mon, April 5th, 2010, 09:20 PM Hey Guys,
First off, we are super sorry for this inconvenience; I have rushed the fix and it should work now. It was a security related bug and it should be good to go.
Thanks
karlsson1978 Mon, April 5th, 2010, 10:51 PM Thanks, it's working now! And please don't apologize, really appreciate the prompt attention.
raskew Tue, April 6th, 2010, 12:01 AM Works for me now as well.
Thanks allot.
