Hey guys,

Just thought id ask, what do you guys have pre workout and post workout?

I have an mrp post workout or whey + small amt of dextrose (say 10g)

and after (post) usually whey + 60g dextrose

but i know some have rice/pasta before as itsa complex carb, what im wondering, is , how much rice/pasta and do u have whey too (pre workout) and also would u need complex carbs i.e. pasta/rice post wo?

I have the same thing pre and post workout:

-1 scoop whey protein (opt. nutrition)
-5g glutamine
-20g Dextrose

I realize my dextrose intake is low. This is because somewhere over the course of my studies I read that the amount of dextrose could be decreased when ingested with whey protein and would still result in a sufficient insulin spike. Later teachings would lead me to believe otherwise, but I'm already in the pattern I outlined above. More importantly, I'm making gains while cutting and I've been using this combination all the while (and I'm not inclined to mess with something that is working).

PreWorkout
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 sc On Choc Whey

Post Workout:
2 Scoops Powered Gatorade
1 sc On Choc Whey

i think that the amoun of dex your taking is great.. you dont wanna take in to much, or to little.. its best to consume around 25-45g of carbs from dextrose, i forget how much each gram of dex has in carbs.

pre workout

6 almonds
1/3 cup cooked oatmeal with 1 scoop whey isolate

post workout shake

1.5 scoops whey isolate
4/5th scoop of micronized creatine with dextrose
5g glutamine
1/8th tsp salt

post workout meal.. 45min to 1hr after shake

2/3 cup cooked brown rice
1 chicken breast
1/2 red pepper
