I've read in several books and on several forums that when I follow the diet that we all pretty much follow, that we'll all sleep much better. So I've been drinking lots of fluids recently (mostly water) and I find that my sleep in wonderful until 4am when I have to run to the bathroom. Then I lie awake for 2 hours, or drift in and out. I'm not sure if this is a better sleep overall as I'm only getting 5.5-6 solid hours of sleep.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I pretty much stop drinking fluids at about 7pm to try and curb this.

I had the same problem and also cut off drinking at least 4 hours before bedtime. It took a few weeks, but I can make it through the night now(granted I'm about to bust when I wake up  )

That's so funny!!!

I wake up every single night at the exact same time.....4AM! The only difference is, I have NO problem falling immediately back to sleep.

I'm following this forum for a month but this is my first message. So,Hi to every body first.I'm also awakening at 4 AM but sleeping back immediately.I think the reason is men produce growth hormone and much testosterone nearly at 4 o'clock and tells your brain that you have refreshedmuch and ready for the day or sex.It depends on the quality of your sleep. So if you sleep much or if you are having supplements before bed as glutamine,ZMA,tribulus, melatonine or Whey(contains much glutamine) you wake much than normal. You can eliminate it with a 15 minute early sex break and go on sleeping.

Zemblaa I love your recommendation "You can eliminate it with a 15 minute early sex break and go on sleeping.". Thats only usefull if you have someone in bed with you and whose girlfriend or wife wants to be woken from sleep and have sex at 4 AM. If you do have that kind of girlfriend or wife then I envy you.

I can usualy last until 7 am which is close to my getting up time anyway.

She just lies there anyway, so what does it matter to me if she's awake or not? J/K

I find that I fall right back to sleep no problem . . . UNLESS for some reason I start thinking. Once a thought enters my brain on the way to, from, or in, the bathroom, I must kill it immediately or else I will rouse myself from slumper and be awake.

And I don't bury the dead body until morning - it would so wake me up to do it then, and if I wait, it becomes a great morning cardio!

tries his best to not wake up his girlfriend when she's sleeping. His life expectancy is higher that way.
