Hey guys, just joined and I'm lookin for some advice on startin a routine.

First of all im 20 years old, 6 ft tall and 191lbs. My goals as of now are to slim down the mid-section while building up my upper body.

I'm not a complete rookie to working out. I have workout off and on for the past few years and I joined a gym in May for about 2 months before I had to leave for work.

I have had pretty good results since May. I weighed in at 213lbs my first day in the gym. I have been hovering around 190lbs for the past 2 months.
I want to get back into working out and I have everything I need (i think)at my house. I need help building a routine that I can follow as I have never had a routine before.

I have a weight bench, dumbells, curl bar, resistance bands and a treadmill at my disposal.

Like I said my goals are to slim down in the mid-section. I know theres about 10-15 lbs of excess body fat that can be trimmed from my stomach to my thighs. My upper body is fairly slim but my chest could use alot of toning. My arms have good tone but I would like to add some size to them.

Can someone help me build a workout routine using the equipment that I have at my disposal? Thanks guys and I look forward to discussing more topics with you. This is a great forum.

You should first read through the stickies at the top of the beginner section... I don't want to be too harsh, but the folks here are not going to do all of the work building a routine for you. You should try to come up with something by doing some of your own research then ask for tweaks to your workout.

Thousands of ways to do it. Find the one that works for you. Read the above, read others, keep reading, but in the meantime, start working out.

Mastover has some free workouts posted on his website. In addition, this website is an excellent resource. :gl:

I agree. I see a lot of posts on posters requesting someone to build them a workout routine when they should research the threads on here and other websites along with videos to assemble their own routine. I feel if you want to start doing right and work out and eat better you should at least invest some time in researching these topics to formulate your own ideas. No one is going to just cater to you as harsh as it sounds. This is coming from someone who wanted someone to lay out the path for me but sometimes you have to create your own path. Good luck. :tu:
