This has been a serious blow to me psychologically. Just happened to me yesterday. zero flexibility, and zero ability to squeeze anything with my left wrist, was unable to do my scheduled workout this morning of back and biceps.:bang: I've been working hard and am into my 13th week of my transformation with zero time off. should I just blow this week off as a rest and recovery week and pick up next week?

3 plus months. Take some time off. Recover.

Ok, so I'll just take this week off, to let my body recover and allow my wrist to heal, I knew I was going to have to take a break at some point, but this injury forces me to take it sonner than I planned. I just recently have been seeing some nice gains and I didn't want to quit in the middle of it. by next Monday I should be good to go. Man I'm gonna be bored.

another question...should I alter my calories since there will be no training this week? Main goal is fat loss.

You say this just all of the sudden happened? As in yesterday was the first time you felt the pain all at once? If its just sore, thats one thing, but pain is serious. Pain=Problem, no one can diagnose you over the net, have a Dr. look at it.

Thanks Sparx88, Yeah, I tweaked it pretty good swinging a bat, I am plagued with small wrists. It's happened earlier in the summer, but re-aggrivated it yesterday. Doing the cold water, hot water soaking. the pain feels like that of a sprain with a little puffiness.

Any swelling? I'd recommend getting it looked at. You don't want lack of movement to become permanent, and the longer a problem goes without being properly fixed, the harder it is to fix properly.

I would recommend the week off--as you said, you need one sooner or later anyway.

Good luck!

Thanks for the response. Swelling is minimal today, probably have about 80% range of motion without any soreness. Grip has improved drastically today. I am definitely gonna take your advise and take the week off from training anyways, but still waiting for a response to my question about reducing calorie consumption during the week of no training, once again, main goal is fat loss.

Your calorie intake should somewhat reflect your activity level....so yes you should adjust your calories. How much??? I have no idea, guessing somewhere between 200-500????

yeah, that's about what I was guessing. I think I'll reduce by 350 a day for the rest of the week.
