This morning I bought some whey protein for the first time ever. I figured everyone else seems to think this is pretty good stuff so I'll add it to my diet.
My questions -
a) The brand is Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein (http://www.bodyfortress.com/pages/productDetail.aspx?PPID=10)(chocolate).
I don't much about the different brands of whey so could you experts 'whey in' with your opinions on this one? I found some reviews on the bodybuilding.com forum (http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=108603471)s and the folks there seemed to think it was okay.
SupplementRating.com (http://www.thesupplementrating.com/listing.php?id=1043) also seemed to think it was decent product.
I can't complain about the price... I picked up a 2 lb tub in the Navy Commissary on base for $13.30 and that seemed like pretty fair deal.
b) When I opened the 2 lb tub and peered in.... it was only just over 1/2 full of actual powder. Now, I know there is "settling of contents" in cereal boxes and such but this seems ridiculous. Is this pretty much standard operating procedure for the whey manufacturers? I haven't personally weighed the tub but I suppose there are 2 lbs in there.
