Bought some Rowntrees sugar free jelly tonight while is was shopping around. Its in powder form, so can't just eat the chunks, but at least this way a little goes a long way.

per 100g

Energy 305kcal
PROTEIN 68.5g
Carbs 0.3g
Fat Nil

Seems like a hell of a lot of protein in there, I never even knew there would be any till today, I bought it to cure my sweet tooth. What do you guys reckon to this stuff? Does it sound ok?

Its strange isnt it, that a product thats as sweet as Jelly can somehow be made out of protein.

I dont see a problem with it, an entire pack is 36 calories (4 servings). When you eat, your really just eating the water you made it out of.

Personally, I dont eat it very often as it upsets my stomach. But if your stomach is fine with it, I cant see how it can affect you if your trying to lose weight.

I have been eating this too.
I got it coming in at 36 cals for the lot, not 309 cals like in the first post.
I hope it really is as good as it says, coz its damn tasty & almost feels like cheating, without the guilt !

Is this something only sold in the UK? I've never heard of it. If it's powder form, do you have to mix it with water or something?

I literally read the nutritional values from the packaging and wrote them down in here. It says on the front '10 calories per serving' so I'm thinking a serving is a bowl full from a larger bowl in which it was originally made. I will give it a try, if it cures my craving for sweet things without actually being that bad then I will certainly try it out. At 54pence a pop its not all that bad as it will fill 2 large bowl's worth I reckon.
