Are these something ok to eat with a meal. I dont have alot of money(50 dollar a month food budget huzzah college) so baked beans are one of my staples.

What sort? Baked beans in the UK and Canada are a very different beast from baked beans in the US.

If you are referring to the canned baked beans(Bush's) watch the sugar content as they tend to have added sugar. If I am going to eat beans, I prefer Black Beans.

Baked beans have a lot of sodium. I'd eat them in moderation.

I would suggest buying dry beans (bulk bin, or bagged), and add tomato paste to them (100% pure tomato paste, no added sodium, or sugar or junk like that).

Just boil them up in a pot, and add the tomato paste.

Can always add vegetables and spices to liven up the flavour.
