It is strongly focused on the ectomorph type of person who has always been skinny and struggled to gain weight. Really in a nutshell he says to eat a lot of good food and train hard always progressing with some periodization thrown in there. Depending on your goals I think there are better books out there. Mainly strength and some size - Starting Strength Bodybuilding - Chis Aceto has couple of good books eg. I would need to eat aobut 4000 calories (according to the book). I've done this much food and I gained way too much fat. It may be that the book is intended for younger folks who are teens and their metabolisms are fast as hell (and don't use the word folks). You can get a lot of the same info on his website. Carb separation from fats, eating carbs only around workouts (and breakfast). I don't buy too much into the whole carb separation thing anymore. I think it is much more important to hit you macros at the end of the day. |
