Hello all,

Long time lurker here on JSF. I am one of the ones who has tried to lose some weight off and on for the last few years and would quite after 2 weeks. Whether its been a lack of will power or motivation I never can seem to keep a routine in this department very long. I even tried SGX and Masterover. My work schedule went to hell and so did my plan with Masterover (Sorry Mastover, I will be back with a vengeance and I am still following your plan). Well this May (2009) I hit 250lbs, my highest ever and had enough. I promised myself that its time to do something about this. Its all or nothing - NO EXUSES. I ordered the Fat loss Pack from AtLarge Nutrition along with RESULTS. Spent a week preparing myself and creating a good routine that worked for me and my schedule as well as getting all the right foods.

May 1st - day 1 at 5'10" 250lbs
June 17th - day 48 at 5'10" 226lbs
Total Loss: 24lbs

Haven't been taking any measurements with tape or calipers. Not sure what weight I want to get to before trying to build some muscle. I currently bike 5 days a week and lift 4. Following a very strict diet with a clean cheat meal once per week along with my daily supplements and lots of JSF!

I just wanted to Thank EVERYONE on this site for all the invaluable information provided.

Here are some Pics. The before pics are from he beginning of the year but I pretty much looked the same on May 1st. The current are from today. Cant call them before and after as I don't believe there is a such thing as an after photo, only current. Sorry, no flex for the beginning post as there was no reason too :nope:

Hi Chester ( I use to live in Chester, UK - old Roman city)
My first post and I am so thrilled for you that you have made so much progress, and so quickly too - it really motivates me as a beginner to take some before and "current" photos. Thank you.
Can I ask you - and forgive me for being nosy - did you consume much alcohol before you cleaned up your diet?

Thanks all for the encouragement. No, I am lucky to never consume more than a 6 pack of beer a year but I did drink a ton of soda which is just as bad as alcohol. Once I cut the soda (pop as we call it here in Pittsburgh :D ) out and switched over to all water I dropped like 6lbs my first week of dieting. During my so called cheat meal I will drink a diet lipton green tea with my meal but other than that I am all water. Good Luck Sparkly and to all who dare this adventure!

Well,

I am approx 9 weeks in and still going strong. I did stall for a week in losing some weight but I changed some of my routine up a little and seem to progressing again. I added animal pak universal in as well so will see how that goes. My dads wedding is July 25th and my goal for that date is 215lbs so I will be pushing extra hard the next 2 weeks.

Here are some progress pics over the last 68 days.

Thanks guys. The biggest issue I am having right now is how to lose this weight without the loss of to much muscle. The right food/diet is key here. I keep looking at John Stones food logs and pictures and trying to dial in his intake with mine. Of course I am getting close to his starting weight for his initial cut and our height difference is slightly different but I at least have a draft if you will to follow and adjust to meet my needs. We'll see over the coming weeks with weight loss vs measurements and see where to go from there.

Well, its been over a month since I updated my progress pics. I has been a great ride so far. I started this more or less for health reasons more than looks but this has become very addicting. I actually dislike REST days any more. I seem to have to find something to do that gets the muscles going. I also had to reduce my carb intake as I kept hitting plateaus but now it seems like the fat is melting off again. I am currently saving to get a PowerTec station. My basement turned weight room is getting less spacious as I keep buying more equipment. Oh well, here is the pics. Any idea on body fat? One more question, when in the hell does the fat on the face start to come off? Must be the last thing to start to show progress :bang:
