65 years ago, what was perhaps the greatest act of freedom and liberation that will ever been seen on the planet began. In my opinion it was the greatest generation of free people that will ever live. Their sacrifice is beyond words.

I absolutely can't fathom the guts and bravery plus the mastery of fear it must have took to know that as soon as they stepped off that landing craft the chances of getting killed were about 90%.
