Anyone watch this show?

Insanity at its best. I love obstacle courses. :dreamy:

I don't normally watch tv, but this one's a winner. I'm going to keep a close eye on my listings. :tu:

Absolutely, I watch with my wife and 4 kids. We all have a ball.

I saw the commercials for it, and it looks like an actual US version of the show used for MXC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MXC). Anyone ever see MXC? Is Wipeout really basically the same thing?

There are significant differences. No weird characters, for example. It's just competitors battling obstacles. I actually see it as a hilarious opponent-free version of American Gladiators, if anything.

But it really is a blast. I laughed myself to hysterical tears more than once last season.

I haven't seen the show but I've seen the trailers. It looks like an american version of Ninja Warrior. NW is a show on G4 which is a cable channel. The channel caters to Nerds and has shows about games, culture, comedy, and a sort of hosted show called Attack of the Show. Anyway anything they do on G4 seems to come to so-called regular TV after a short while.

I caught the first show of this season last night. I don't care for the hosts, but the show is funny. Sometimes I wonder why things like that make me laugh, but I liked the Stooges too.

I only caught a few minutes of it because I had to take my daughter to karate, but it was pretty good.

I found myself trying not to laugh at some points too. Some of that stuff looks like it really hurts. They're being tossed around like rag dolls and bounced around like a pinball. I couldn't believe that catapult setup. And those contestants work HARD. I like watching it just to see the look of determination on their faces.
