Since lifting, I've grown. My shirts are too short because my shoulders, back and chest are bigger. My pant legs are completely full from my legs and yet the waistlines are comfortable. How do you deal with this? I really don't want to go buy "big and tall" clothes. It's probably the best problem I've ever had!

We've discussed this before. Clothes are designed for people who are either skinny or fat it seems, not the least bit muscular.

I have trouble finding off the rack suits that I can wear both the jacket and the pants due to the difference in my chest vs waist (42 and 32). Most suits have maybe a 6" difference, not a 10".

Shirts that look like they fit are hard to find because I need them to be smaller at the waist so they don't look like sails, and jeans that fit my butt and thighs rarely have waists that aren't huge on me. And I wouldn't even consider myself "muscular". I'm more in the "athletic" body type.

Over time, you'll probably find brands that work better for you. Or, you'll find a tailor :)

When I was doing my cardio yesterday on the bike, I was reading a magazine, and this advertisement said this company made clothes for people who lift. I don't know what they cost, or if they are any good, but they did mention in the ad the pants are good for people with small waists and big thighs. Here is the website.

I've always had a problem finding clothes that fit, being 5'6" and more then 120lbs apparently there are no clothes on earth that are designed for me ;) even my uniform didn't fit until I got it tailored.

And yeah once I lost a lot of weight at first I had to buy a whole new wardrobe. Its a positive spending though, its a great way to put an exclamation point on all the hard work you've been doing.

Fortunately for me, I care absolutely nothing about fashion, so a giant oversized loose-fitting t-shirt is pretty much what I always wear -- even if the fashion police cringe in horror. Incredibly comfortable in the hot summer weather.

Pants on the other hand, are another story. I really can't wear jeans, because they never fit my legs. So, I basically wear shorts all year round. Even in the winter. People used to look at me strangely when I would walk around in 6 inches of snow in NYC whilst wearing shorts.

I will be the first to say that I have torn a pair of under armour compression shorts due to the size of my legs. They split right down the seam.
