Curious for an opinion on this...
I'm currently 22, 6'1", and 190 lbs. For the past couple of months I've been sticking to ~1850 cal/day between 6 meals and using a 20/50/30 (f/c/p) split. Goal of dropping weight and getting a decent 5 mile time by September.
Steadily working up speed on running for ~30-40 minutes 3 times a week (with interval sprints at the end of runs). And upper body weight lifting twice a week.
3 weeks ago though I added a lower body weight training day and switched my diet to 20/40/40 (same calories). Now I'm dying when I go running after ~20 minutes worse than I normally am after 40 minutes.
Any suggestions as to whether this is more likely do to cutting back on carbs or adding lower body weights?
