View Full Version : Lifting in a fasted state during a cutting phase?

I am currently trying to lose some fat, and I do my lifting in the morning right after I wake. Is it a good idea to drink a whey+water shake before I lift to preserve muscle mass? Am I burning muscle if I lift in a fasted state? Thanks!
