i was in bike accident, 4 months ago, damaged muscle(had to be replaced), aartery, nerves and fractured bone in2 areas 10cm above my anke.

went and saw doc 3 and half months after accident , and the bone doesnt seem to be healing n ahd made very little progress. couple of weeks prior to that the skin, muscle had healed and sweling massively reduced to a normal size.

now i was 10-20kg weight barring, and i could do it with no dificulty or pain or discomfort so i was shocked when the doc said bone hasnt healed much if any.

some diffrent nurses and docs said that if there are multiple damages body will prioritise the healing e.g, skin, muscle, nerves then bone, thats why bone hadnt healed much.

now does anyone know or have any information or knowledge about these sort of things???

Some things take ages.....my wife had a broken leg which broke the smaller support bone, not the big one.....that took 4 months plus.

The ankle that I sprained last October still hasn't healed properly yet.

Haven't done an iota of "calf work" since.

Maybe you need to stop putting weight on it?

yeh i hear a few ppl say that, i was woried it woint be ahything seriouse, cuz i dont smoke cigarretes, and i eat healthy.

dr saw the xray 2 weeks ago, and just said keep puting 10-20kg on it.

knowing i also had muscle replacement, and also nerve damage, do you reckon excersise helps in the bone healing process, concidering that the bone needs to find its own blood suplyy b4 healing can begin. because i destroyed the muscle had to have a replacement.

how big of a roll would excersis of the leg play?

That's a good question...I would think that SOME kind of exercise (authorized and o.k.'d by your doc) would help with regeneration of blood vessels etc.etc..

Obviously he isn't too worried at this point if he stands behind applying
a limited amount of weight to the area.

But I have no idea what would be considered a good re-habbing ex for it at this point....maybe your doc might have some ideas...:)
