I just bought a loaf of 100% Whole Wheat bread. I made sure the first ingredient was not enriched wheat, but something more like stone ground wheat. Then, I noticed like the 3rd or 4th ingredient was high fructose corn syrup!!!! What's up with that??!?!?! Is there any reason why this is in here? Do most whole wheats breads have this ingredient somewhere in it or was I just being careless? Should I look for one without HFCS next time? Did I blow it?

Also, what are the names of the kinds of breads you guys buy? Any good recommendations for healthy breads?

there are so many crap breads out there, just becuase its whole wheat still doesnt mean its good!
alot of whole wheat breads are still heavily processed and have tons of crap added to them

you want to get grainy breads, like multigrain, linseed and soy and pumpernickel, they have tons of goodness in them!
as john berardi says "if it looks like it has wood chips baked into it, its good to go"
