Anybody know of one that's 'all-natural'?
As opposed to buying one from the Dungeon of Mad Body Building Science Labs?

View Full Version : Aromatase Inhibitors... HevyMetal Sat, March 28th, 2009, 04:26 PM Anybody know of one that's 'all-natural'? As opposed to buying one from the Dungeon of Mad Body Building Science Labs? Big_D Sat, March 28th, 2009, 04:55 PM All natural meaning what? Not synthesized in a lab, just some random herb or something? HevyMetal Sat, March 28th, 2009, 05:04 PM Yes.....since I made the post I cut the piano that was tied to my butt loose and started Googling...rather than wait for somebody else to do my homework for me....:) So far I've come up with:- Chrysin Resvaratrol White Button Mushrooms Grapeseed Extract 6-OXO (although this a commercial prep and is touted as a testo booster...in actual fact it is an Estrogen inhibitor...containing a common substance). Melatonin I'm sure there'll be more as I dig deeper... Yeah, but that is how it raises test. From what I understand, it lowers estrogen by inhibiting aromatase, and the body compensates by making more test. Novadex XT has been shown to nearly triple total test, and it raises free test by almost 6 times! Although the study was funded by the company, the results were published in a peer reviewed journal, and several independing loggers on bb.com had blood work done, and it really DOES raise test. By ALOT. The downside is that the active ingredient (ATD) has been shown to compete with test at the androgen receptor site in the brain. It is currently unknown whether it also does this in muscle tissue, but if it does, then it essentially cancels out the effect of huge test increases. The Novedex XT study didn't show much in the way of lean mass gains, so, it leads me to believe that there may be something to the idea that ATD is competing with test at the AR site. JoeSchmo Wed, April 1st, 2009, 01:56 AM I'm sure there'll be more as I dig deeper... Stinging nettle is another one. It supposedly lowers SHBG and thereby increasing free test. rhodan Wed, April 1st, 2009, 10:43 AM Anybody know of one that's 'all-natural'? Allow me to preface this point by saying that I'm not going to spend my time researching the appropriate levels of estrogen in men at different ages. :) But if you're thinking of taking a substance that actively inhibits estrogen production, please bear in mind that the male body needs estrogen. Estrogen does a great many things in both male and female bodies, allowing proper functioning of processes as various as brain function and bone density. That's the end of my PSA! Just be careful, guys, please. That's the end of my PSA! Just be careful, guys, please. The problem is when too much T gets converted to estrogen. I'm probably going to switch my TRT therapy to IM injections soon because of declining effectiveness of transdermal products. From what I've read, the risk of needing an aromatase inhibitor is higher with injections. Prescription option being Arimidex IIRC. kexing Tue, May 5th, 2009, 08:37 PM AIFM but its debatable whether any steroidal AI is "natural" exemestane is a much better choice than arimidex generally. you dont need a script for any of these. You can order from a legitimate overseas pharmacy or use one of the reputable "research" companies like researchstop, chemoneresearch or ag-guys (legit but way overpriced). kexing Tue, May 5th, 2009, 08:40 PM Yes.....since I made the post I cut the piano that was tied to my butt loose and started Googling...rather than wait for somebody else to do my homework for me....:) So far I've come up with:- Chrysin Resvaratrol White Button Mushrooms Grapeseed Extract 6-OXO (although this a commercial prep and is touted as a testo booster...in actual fact it is an Estrogen inhibitor...containing a common substance). Melatonin I'm sure there'll be more as I dig deeper... chrysin may actually upregulate aromatase MRNA plus pretty much zero oral bioavailability Resveratrol is a potent estrogen, though it also has very low bioavailability White button is a strange one, it appears to be both competitive and suicidal. but again bioavailailability issues 6-oxo has E metabolites melatonin may decrease aromatase Mrna, but not a lot. HevyMetal Sat, May 9th, 2009, 05:32 PM I just read that they had to completely re-engineer Chrysin for bio-availability. Apparently the original claims were bogus. As I read more it seems that many of the claims about many of the aromatase inhibitors have been proven to be bogus. Many testo boosters also fall into the bogus category. Also.....Turmeric (which contains Cumin) also turns out to be a sham as the Cumin in Turmeric is all but none-absorbed in the system ( another bio-availability issue...) Oral B-12 also turns out to be bullshit......as the molecule in oral B-12 is too big to make it through the intestines. the list goes on....:bang: (edit:- maybe that should be spelled Curcumin .....not Cumin..)
