It would seem a "no-brainer" that visceral fat is lost before skin-fat when doing a regimented exercise program. You don't see people who are "shredded" skin-wise but still have a huge gut.
However, an article I was reading recently proclaimed that 3 sessions of moderately intense cardio per week will burn visceral fat better than just doing weights alone.
On the other hand I've seen lots of guys that pump iron who still sport a sack of potatoes out front.
So that leaves me wondering why visceral fat responds positively to cardio compared to the avergae weighted gym workout.....and whether the two types of fat are inherently different in their ability to be burned off.
