Hi guys, I saw another lower back thread on the forum but their injury was different then mine. I have been deadlifting since January now and maybe 2.5 weeks ago I hurt my back ( it wasn't a pull it was more of a pinch) Anyway I didn't deadlift for a couple of days and my back didn't hurt. Since I have started deadlifting again it doesn't hurt before or during my sets, just immediately after where my left lower back (and upper left leg) is just in pain for about 3 or 4 seconds. Then everythings normal and I finish my resting period before I perform my next set. It doesn't hurt in days between workouts either. I don't know what kind of injury it is or how to get it to heal. If you need more specifics let me know.

In short: Hurt my lower back 2.5 weeks ago. Took 4 days off. Lower back didn't hurt anymore now only hurts immediately after I finish a set for 3-4 second.

Hmmm I have found that back injuries take the longest to heal...whether you pulled a muscle or whatever your problem is.

So its likely that 5 days was not enough healing time.

If you are fixated on doing your dead lifts, just do less weight and higher reps until your back problems are straightened out.
