Any of you guys do these? I've been loosing weight for the last few months but I'm now begining to hit a plateau (sp?). I've been eating healthy but I'm unsure of how many calories I'm eating, I'm hoping making a food journal will help me keep track of my calorie consumption.
Any advice would be great :D
Cheers Glen

A program such as Fitday (http://www.fitday.com/)makes things a lot easier. :)

also investing in a really good scale to weigh your food is pretty important if you want to accurately calculate your calories:)

There are also some good websites that contain caloric information and breakdowns, like The Daily Plate (http://www.thedailyplate.com/), in case you eat something and don't have access to nutritional facts.
An Excel Spreadsheet with formulas to count the numbers will work wonders.

I keep a food jounal, using a notebook, and a pen (very high tech). It is I think 200 pages, so each notebook lasts a year. It is not elaborate, but it does the trick. I list 4 collumns, calories / carb grams/ protein grams / fat grams. I sum it up each day, and at the end of the month add up the month. Keeping a food journal is an invaluble tool for weight loss, and takes very little time. The book I use to get the calorie information is a small book "Calorie King Calorie Fat & Carbohydrate counter. Though it is a small book, it is very comprehensive. You really don't need the book, you can get the information from their website. www.calorieking.com.
