Hi all
I've been crunching the numbers on my nutritional plan since mid December, so 2 months now. I ate poorly and didn't exercise much at all the previous 5 months, so I started doing this at around 180lbs (at 5"6'). I'm happy to say that, with steady weight training and calorie/ratio counting (+ some healthy heart cardio), I'm down again to 164.

I'm curious though - when I started the nutritional program, I wasn't that dissatisfied. I ate less, and I don't think i felt that hungry. However, after a month and a half, I had lost a good 12 lbs, but started feeling hungrier and less sated, and I started aiming for losing 1 lb rather than 2 lbs a week because of that.

I'm not sure if this hunger is just in my head or if its actually a signal that something's up with my food. Is this a common experience that anyone has had?

I am about 6 weeks into my cutting. I have found that if I make my meals (all 6 of them) that I am not really hungry. However, if I miss a time to eat , even by 30 min, I am starving.

As a side note, I was having a cheat meal once a week. I have modified that to once every other week because if feel like I spend the next two days after making up lost ground.

What's your goal weight?

Yeah, it's pretty much expected that you're going to be hungry if you're on course to losing 2 pounds a week. At 164 pounds, I'm not sure you want to be losing more than 4 or 5 pounds a month anyway. Guard that lean body mass. :flex:

guava, target goal would be in the range 155-160. if I notice a significant tradeoff in strength or energy, I'll lean more towards the 160 range. yeah, you're right about guarding lean muscle. I think that at 164, I'm past the "i look man-pregnant" status that 15 more pounds put me at, so i'll probably take it slowly from now on.

oneday, just curious, how often do you eat? how much time is between each meal? And yeah, those cheat meals kinda take a lot off. I had a weekend with friends, they grilled steaks and potatoes, and consequently, I am now at 165.

I have never been hungry but I have had desires. Is it always is your desire to obtain a certain state bigger than your desires for food. I would ask also do you need to lose more?
