I have been doing squats since I got back into the swing of things. I see all over this sight how important squats are to incorporate into your workouts. My question is are plate loader hack squats an acceptable substitute? I am trying to switch things up to keep my workouts new.
Thanks.

Plate loaded hack squats are fine, but not the equivalent to a front or back BB squat. Hack squats don't require quite the full body stabilization.

Why not switch things up by changing the kind of squat you do? Front squats, Bulgarians, pistols?
The plate loaded hack sled is not a bad thing but it's not really a substitute.

Thanks for the input. I try to do squats twice a week so I 'll probably do hacks once and BB squats the other. Sorry to sound like a noob, but what are pistols and bulgarians?
