Day two of being EXTREMELY sore in my calves from my first leg workout of the New Year resolution workout (yes, I started late on Jan. 5).

I'm to the point of hobbling around they're so sore and tight.

I want to go do HIIT. I was thinking a bike might be ok.

Thoughts? Should I just rest?

If you've given your calves 48 hours of rest you should be fine. The soreness may last for a week, but this is do to the sensitization of free nerve endings responding to the swelling. I don't see any problem with HIIT after 48 hours unless you become extremely fatigued or your urine changes color.

Thank Fandy. I went and it wasn't too bad at all. Still sore, of course, ha.
