I don't make New Year's resolutions. I either set a goal or I don't but I don't pay attention to arbitrary dates like New Year's :).

I set goals/hopes at the beginning of every new year. this past year wasn't very good as I only hit 5 out of the 10 whereas in 2007 I hit 9 out of 10.

Versus last couple years, when my only resolutions were fitness related, I look at 2009 from a financial perspective. I want to work hard at my job, put in more hours, monitor my cash flow securely, and save a few hundered as a cushion every month.

That will indirectly benefit my health by allowing me to sleep better, stay stress free & motivated to not miss any workouts.

Sounds like a good plan :)

Well i see new years as a new start as im sure many others do so i think its a great time to set a long term goal. Mine would probably be to gain 20lbs of lean muscle by the end of 2009 and im not too botherd about fat at the moment as i find it fairly easy to drop fat. so if i set fairly easy goals and it will be easier to acheive them thus making you more satisfied with yourself.
