I just got a quote for a Powertec rack AND a Powertec bench. (P-PR and P-UB)

569.00 shipped from PN to CO.....

I thought this was an excellent price, but wanted to make sure first. Almost seems to good to be true.

They will throw in a preacher curl attachement for 59 bucks or a CMA (curl machine) for 99 bucks.

Maybe I will just call them back and throw down. :bb:

Any thoughts?

www.megafitness.com has the power rack for 399.00 including shipping and the bench for 229 including shipping. they do a price match, and will match anything you find cheaper. i had a thread a while ago detailing how i had them match a price on a power rack at 340 bucks including shipping. search for that thread!

Thanks for the reply.

I had read your thread, and checked out megafitness. I think I will call them tonight and see if they will do the 569.00. A guy at totalfitnessdirect just shot that price out over the phone. I asked what the price on the cage only was. He said that he just made the price up for the total of what I wanted. If I was to buy it with everything else, it would make it like 315.00.....

I got cold feet shortly after I posted this anyway. I have never used free weights. I "feel" that I need to move in that direction. My muscles "feel" it.

Now I just don't know what the hell to do. :d_confuse

Skipping the nonesense and just getting the rack/bench system just seems appropriate. Then there is the lat attachment... I think I want it, but I get wimpy when I think about it. I want what I need, but don't know what I really need. I don't want chalk-bag simple, and I don't want to write a C++ program to do chest work either...hehe.

I have the card out, and I want to pull the trigger!!!

I suppose I will do some more reading and searching. :read:
