Im in need for a cardio equipment at home, with no place availebal and moving a lot i started looking at the mini steppers. Is there any use in these, the step distance seems so little that i wonder if it has any effect at all??
Also, anybody tried using one of these, and have a recommendation for me??
Thanks a lot.

I have the same questions. I went to Sears, scoping out potential equipment, and ran across several sets of those on closeout. The price was right, around $30 I think, but I didn't jump on them because the step distance didn't seem like it would do much for me. They were small and I was really tempted because I don't have a lot of space to work with either.
Anyone else have any thoughts on those mini steppers?

The thing with those ones they sell cheap is they tend to wear out but I guess thats a good thing because that means you're working out.
I got one free, it wasn't a mini but it was set up the same with gas shocks. I didn't like it because there was a gas / oil type smell that came after about 5 mins worth of use. And I'm used to what you see at the gym and those offer a more consistent smooth stepping stroke.
If I had a choice of the mini's versus walking or jogging then I'd choose the latter.
