Hello Everyone:

This evening my wife was running late on making dinner so I needed something quick, becuase I hadn't eaten for 3 hours. So I went into the kitchen and made up 1 cup of fat free cottage cheese, and 1/4 cup of sugar free syrup and warmed it in the microwave.

It is the same recipe as Bananas Foster in the EFL book, only I did not include the bananas because I realize the are high on the GI.

However, I still get nervous anytime I hear SUGAR even if it says ALCHOHOL after it...

Is this a bad ingredient to have when you are cutting? This syrup had 14G of SUGAR ALCHOHOL.

Thanks

I'd like to know the same thing. I have, on occasion, a bowl of plain old oatmeal for breakfast. Seeing as it gets old after a while I began adding a bit of sugar free syrup (with sugar alcohol) and a tad of cinnamon.

I'm always leary about the sugar alcohol, though. I'm not sure if it's that bad for me or not, but sometimes that oatmeal gets awful dry!

I've read some people react to sugar alcohols and some people's bodies basically ignore it.

So basically, I don't know

as far as going into ketosis, s.a. will knock u out. I think they are treated as Splenda or Equal otherwise, not too sure. However, they are mostly found in low carb foods, which are crap.
