Hi guys, I am starting a bulk soon and would like to order the right supplements to ensure I maximize muscle growth while minimizing fat growth. I am aiming to gain 2-4 lb per month, have 2500 cal/day, weight lift 4 days a week and cardio 1-2 days (havent decided yet, will see how quick my weight adds). I recently cut from 176-157, ended at ~11%BF and I'm aiming to minimize fat growth as much as possible. During my cut, I would usually eat about 2 hours before I slept, and I would have something small, like some soy nuts, peanuts, and 2 gm fish-oil supplements. It ended up being like 150 calories total, with most of it coming from healthy fats, the rest from protein.
I want to switch it up for my bulk. I want to get more protein before I sleep, aim for 20-30 gm, but am unsure of what else I need before sleep. The main purpose of this meal would be to rebuild muscle while I sleep. I plan to keep my cutting diet pretty much the same (I ate ~2400 cal/day), but cut out a lot of the cardio I was doing. I've been hearing a lot of things about dextrose but am unsure if I need it, and if i do, how much i should consume. I am not carb-sensitive, and was losing weight on a 50c-20f-30p diet. Then again, I was doing a lot of cardio which needed those carbs.
So my question is, what should I do for my last meal every night? I will be using whey powder, and since I haven't supplemented powder before, any suggestions as to which one tastes good would be great too!
