Ok iv recently got into the swing of things , started eating good and lifting weights 4 days a week splits-iv now started adding cardio , at the moment 4 days a week for 25 mins at a time. Im seeing some reasnable results.
These next 3 months i want too (like everyone) make the most progress i can.
Just how much cardio is too much? i was considering upping my current cardio too 2x a day both after weight lifting since i lift early in the day..with 4 hour gaps inbeetwen.
Would this yeild greater results or would it lead too over training?.
Im a 25 year old male weighing 189 lbs with a high bodyfat %
Thanks for any help:tu:

Depends. how is your diet? What is cardio for? to build endurance or burn more calories? If it is to burn more calories, I have an idea for you, don't intake as many calories.
BTW: What is your height? And what are your goals?

1) What kind of cardio and how intense?
2) Are you eating enough?
I can't imagine doing lots of HIIT or other high intensity cardio. But I'm not sure you can over do low or even medium intensity cardio.

Thanks for the replys:)
Im 5.11 tall and currently taking in 2200 calories per day, my diet is pretty good, 5 clean meals a day. i was hoping too lose more bodyfat this way, im curently losing at just over 1 lb a week, but i had hoped by upping excersize and calories if needed so i dont drop weight too fast, might speed up progress?
my goal is too be lean and strong with a good tone.
currently im cycling on an excersize bike for 25 mins at moderate intensity, and i had planned on adding skipping.
thanks:tu:

You weight isn't that bad, sounds like you just need muscles. I wouldn't up cardio. I would cut rest between sets to 60sec or less and use as heavy a weight as you can in the 8-12 rep range. Drink plenty of water - 1-1.5 gallons of water. Do your cardio right after weights.
