tedpod July 31st, 2008, 12:02 AM im starting this journal right now because of an intense craving for pizza, im drinking a liter of water trying to ignore my stupid stomach .
Ive been officially cutting for about 2 weeks, did really well for 4 days then had to help a friend move, then lack of preperation on my part ended up eating mexican food, for the next few days contined to not stick to plan and just eat when and whatever i wanted, was back onby saturday did well then had a burger and ice cream last night, now i sit here after just finishing up an extra cardio session contemplating ordering a pizza!, WHY?...am i going to feel better?, is it going to be a step in the right direction?...it will be really tasty for about 15 mintes then the guilt and the bloat will come, the sleeplesness, then ill over sleep , miss my workout, and eat like shit at work tommorow....
I ate clean and didnt miss a single workot for over a year, got down to a low 200 lbs, , yes ive had image and body issues , and i look back on those pictures and think i was too skinny , the one thing about the lax year or so of clean and not clean eating i i have managed to put on some muscle, but now i need to get rid of the extra fat...i need to find that spark within, its there ive seen it...this will be my catalyst for all my daily struggles/ thoughts..i will prevail , and i will have the body that i want, and deserve....
hopefully someo people will subscribe to this and give some feedback ,support, and just a snse of responsibility to someone but myself......
i no longer want pizza.....i will eat clean until next wednesday ...then and only then will i allow myself one free dinner and dessert...

Hang in there man....don't do the pizza. I go through the exact same cravings some I win and some I lose, we just need to make sure that we win more of those battles then we lose!

Jason's right. Don't do the pizza. That cheat meal and dessert will taste so much sweeter!
tedpod July 31st, 2008, 11:20 PM thanks guys, last night the cravings were intense...i got through it and was a BEAST in the gyme today , did an intense back workout, 20 min pwo cardio and nutrition has been on point all day ..NO cravings!
tedpod August 3rd, 2008, 12:10 AM i got a CRUCIAL leg workout in yesterday , hit every macro perfectly , got a realy good nights sleep , then had a pretty good chest workout tried to up my weight on hammer strength chest presses , but fell a bit short on my reps, but i think i had already pre exheaste my chest maxing out on decline presses, so no biggie....
body is feeling tighter and i seem to be dropping weight at a good pace,(i was holding alot of excess water so im sure its has quite a bit to do with it, but none the less i feel better....about to eat some egg whites and avacodo and hit the sack, ive got a HITT am workout tommorow and they usually whoop my ass:spank:
tedpod August 3rd, 2008, 03:33 PM two words....HOLY SHIT....i just got done with my hiit workout today it totally killed me, instead of uing a treadmill or jogging with sprints in between i found this fairly steep hill in my neighborhood. takes me almost 30 seconds to run up it and about a minute to walk back down...after 7 runs up that hill i was toast, i fel like i was going to pass out, vomit and die....its been an hour and i still feel queesy .so i know where i stand and on wednesday (my next hiit workout ) i will get 8 intervals of sprints....
ive got a ton of errands to go run now this is the first day i ve had off work in well over a month
tedpod August 4th, 2008, 03:40 PM just got done with my upper body workout increased weight on
deadlift, row, assisted pullup,decline bench press,and cable cross overs.
and now im waiting for my ppwo meal to finish cooking so i can devour it(chicken and red potatoes:drool::drool:
tommorow is my heavy leg day and im actually looking forward to it(usually i dread leg days because my legs are already so big) but ive learned theat i store alot of my weight in my legs and midsection both of which are shrinkng at a good rate.....
ive been eating clean now for 5 consecutive days without a single craving...my cheat meal is coming up on wednesday, at this point dont know if i even want it...we'll see

Your description of your hiit up that hill yesterday has me craving some hiit...:drool: That is kind of sick and twisted I know!
I am with you with the cravings and trying to eat clean...it is so difficult the majority of the time, but as I am sure you know it is great to get a week of clean eating under your belt and I always find that the less crap I eat the less I crave it.
Keep up your dedication, I am going to keep up with your journal! :tucool:

I am with you with the cravings and trying to eat clean...it is so difficult the majority of the time, but as I am sure you know it is great to get a week of clean eating under your belt and I always find that the less crap I eat the less I crave it.

thanks for the kudos , yes that is me in my avatar, it was taken last year as i wrapped up an 8 week cut. i might weight 10 to 15 mor lbs than that now. after almost two years of solid eating and training with a plan , i moved to a new city , got a new girlfriend, and kinda had a few too many cheats...i still hit my workouts for the most part , but i want to finally see some abs and cuts now that ive put on some muscle

According to what I can see in that picture once you cut down you should have a pretty sweet Christmas tree going on! :tu:

upped weight in squats, and SLDL, from last week...nutrition has been on point thus far, no complaints, im going to try to hit a 30 min cardio session tonight after work, then im going to amidnight showing of pineapple express..this will be a test of will power because the theatre we go to also serves food like delicious pizza nad burgers...i dont think ill have a problem resisting..ill have diet soda and laugh my ass off...
then home to rest up for hiit ...gotta get 8 intervals tommorow
tedpod August 7th, 2008, 10:43 AM Pineapple Express was hilarious!. you should all go see it, the next morning i woke up to do my hiit , and could barely even walk, i guess the heavy squating and all my legs were feeling it so im going to skip out on that one day for the week so that my legs can recover.
i had my weekly cheat last night, i wasnt really craving it , but i was feeling a little rundown, and my taste for chicken was getting a lil boring...so after a doule cheesburger and ice cream im more than ready for another week of clean eating!...ok off to get a back workout under the belt for the day
tedpod August 8th, 2008, 01:10 AM the morning after a cheat meal is the pits, i wake up so groggy and un motivated, its not until i get up and put a carb in my mouth i can actually do anything..or not be really mean to anyone talking to me:mad:
this morning got my back workout handeled with ease, upped weight on assisted pullups, close grip pulldowns, one arm row, ,low pulley row, and shrugs
i havent had much of an appettite today but will get all my food in here in the next hour...gotta get some rest training legs tommorow
tedpod August 8th, 2008, 11:04 PM INTENSE CRAVINGS again tonight, pizza again i dont know what it is but i almost crumbled i was really close to just going to papajohns, i mean i had visuals of melting cheese and sausage it was crazy .. so i got up made my regular meal (egg whites green beans, turkey bacon...and the cravings vanished !!! thank GOD!.....
Today was good Lg day upped the weight on Squats,hack squat , leg extension, and SLDL....im going to nod off early tonight im exhausted:sleep:
tedpod August 10th, 2008, 02:35 PM yesterdays chhet and arms workout went well, no increases in weight but i finished where i failed last week , so thats forward progress.
around 8 pm i got some cravings again , but milder, me and the gf made greenbeans, and bell peppers auteed with chorizo..it was ooo good and made the cravings a distant memory ..it was so good i stated to wonder if i should be eating it hahah
i overslept this am so i will get my hiit run in tonight, plus its so damn hot outside:mad:
tedpod August 11th, 2008, 11:36 PM Well yesterday i didnt do an hiit session ...but i did go skateboarding for a couple of hours, i think thats plenty of cardio for a day:tu:
Today i got up and got my upper body workout in, upped my weight in
Deadlifts, bent over rows, lat pulldowns, decline bench press, cable crossovers, and preacher curls...
got all my meals in so far except for my pre bed meal thats coming up chicken and pesto MMMMMMM:drool:
mentaly im doing pretty good, overall i try to not think about my cut during the day i like to get my workout in early and then switch gears into work mode...plus i have enough on my mind trying to get my ife in order before i leave for japan on the 24th .....
tedpod August 12th, 2008, 11:34 PM Today has been pretty good. got a leg day in this am. upped the weight on my squat, and SLDL...ill be honest i really dont like working out my legs, my legs are already really large but i know the benefits of working out my lower body so oh well guess ill deal with it...
im really run down and kinda tired , i am actually really looking forward to a free meal tommorow, the day after i have tons of energy(after i get my ass out of bed)
