I am a 20 year old college student with a strong determination to stop being overweight and out of shape. I work a job in which I make 8.75 an hour so I dont have a ton of money (and pay for my living).
I am looking for someone with some free time to take me up as a student and be able to donate 10-15 minutes a day on these boards (PM, AIM, JSF Forums) to me in helping me out with my body condition. On a scale of 10 Id rate my determination to lose weight and start looking great a 12! Id like to incorporate a fun system in which I pay the trainer by the week (or month or whatever they desire) based on my improvement. I pledge to take pictures every week and stick strictly (within budget) to the advice they have given me. I am thinking about maybe 5 dollars for every pound lost. And once I have dropped to a weight that I feel comfortable with perhaps 5 dollars for every 5 pounds I increase on my lifting. Like I said I know trainers make good money but its a challenge to take on a kid that cant really afford a lot of money. If anybody has any better ideas for a system Im all ears as well as I believe the best way to approach any challenge is with a fun inspired tactic.
I am currently 223 pounds and unaware of my body fat, but in my journal thread I have stated I will have all of my statistics up by August 1st. :tucool:
Thank you for your time JSF members, and if this is bizzare I appologize!

Mhistava is right; read the stickies, and you'll get several trainers' worth of advice for free.
If you're looking for a monetary way to keep yourself on track, pay YOURSELF. Set up a bank account (or just a piggy bank under your bed) and pay yourself for every pound lost. Vow that you won't spend the money until you've reached a certain goal, and then treat yourself to something you wouldn't have bought otherwise. I know a few friends that have used this method to great success.
(I recommend a free bank account just to avoid the temptation of stealing from yourself; its a lot harder to drive to the bank, fill out a form and meet with a teller than it is to open your piggy bank at home and take out some $$.)
Best of luck on your new lifestyle!

Hey there mate I think that the stickies are a good place to start but if you have further questions just put up a thread with your question and that way you will get advice of several members. If you do need further assistance and want a quick answer I am generally on line all day every day due to work and I will be only happy to help. But remember I am no expert but I have dropped from 215 pounds down to 175 and leaned out so I hope I can help.
