I think the title is wrong.....all fruit is not evil...some are just higher in Fructose than others..

But in her "worst offenders" list, fruit is pretty well at the bottom of the ladder.

I mean if you cut out all fruit but sit down to a plate full of corn and potatoes every night, you're no farther ahead.

If you just cut out every thing that contained High Fructose Corn Syrup, you'd be doing yourself a big favor.

On some BB'er nutritional sites I've read that a combo of Dex and Fructose post workout with Pro powder actually works BETTER than Dex alone.

The title is a newspaper trick designed to suck in readers. Notice in her list she says avoid the first 8 at all cost but wisely has fruit and veggies at the bottom (naturally). The other caveat is that the reader is doing a cut and looking to make improvements no matter how small (since small changes add up). I don't think anyone normally would say avoid having an apple any time of the day other than breakfast because it will cause you to store fat, that would be stupid....especially if the midday snack was a choice between a bag of doritos and an apple.

(yeah I agree, contest diet, all bets would be off)

I think it becomes much more important to watch out for this as body fat percentages get sub 10%. You rarely see a bodybuilder cut diet that has a lot of fruit. Maybe grapefruit and/or berries.

Cutting at 15%, a couple of reasonable fruit servings a day is probably just fine for most. As with everything...moderation.

If you have the muscle you can stay below 10% easily, once you get there. Why on earth would you watch your fruit intake sub-10%? Have you seen Scott Weiland? That dude takes heroin. I think the garden apple is safe for now.

At any rate it's pretty easy to get lists of fruits that are Low Glycemic and also Low Fructose at the same time....:)
