What do you think would be a good Craigslist asking price for a set of Hex Dumbells pairs 15-55 + 2.5lb platemates + 2 tier dumbell rack?

I'm seriously constrained for space in my home gym and also need to get much larger sizes ( need 100-ish+). Hex dumbells are $1.00/lb+ at the moment, so just getting 60,70 and 80lb pairs would run me close to $500! And I just don't have the space for all that poundage either.

So, I think I"m going to go the Powerblock route.

Anyways, the set I have is 630lbs + the platemates + rack would run someone about $800 retail. I was thinking around $400-ish as a few of the dumbells have peeled a bit.

Thoughts?

Thanks

I would say $400 as long as you're willing to wait a while and relist a couple times.

People usually start to bite at $.50 / lb, but you also have racks and plate mates, which is nice.

Speaking of powerblocks, make sure you check into Ironmaster dumbells first... they take 30 seconds longer to switch (but don't you have time in between sets anyway...?), but they are much more solid (you dont have to worry about dropping them), cheaper, and you don't have to put your hand in a cave to use them.
