Hi guys --

What do you guys think of walking on the treadmill with an incline for 45 minutes with sweatpants? It really gets your heart rate up and it's low impact. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that has heart issues because it does get your heart pumping but my leg has been hurting so I needed something low impact but I still wanted to make it effective and I think it's a great way to go. It may be less risky for me because I used to be/am a long distance runner so my pulse is much lower for someone my size. I am walking at 3.7 speed, with an incline of maybe 8.5.

Let me know what you all think!

Treadmill cardio has been my bread and butter for years now. Give me an iPod and couple of magazines to read and I'm a happy guy.

Just about any type of cardio, combined with proper nutrition, will produce results. I'm not sure why sweatpants are better than shorts though. :D

I guess I meant sweatpants/sweatshirt/either. It gets your heart rate up and you build more of a sweat.

Myth: sweat as an indicator / tool of fat loss.

Agreed. All you're gonna do by wearing sweatpants is lose more water. Switch to shorts and remember to hydrate properly.
