I'm back up tp 139. I had broken 138 and was 137 Monday. Two days ago I burned 354 calories. So, what's going on?
:spaz:

:spaz: It's called 'water weight'. Don't sweat it. If you're going to get worked up from weighing yourself daily, STOP. Once a week is enough to give you a trend.

Thanks. I was just very happy I broke my plateau.

I was spazing in a funny way...not exactly freaking out :p
I'll weigh every Monday...

Be wary of when you weigh yourself as well.

I was 145-lbs last Thursday (weighed in at 6:50am), and yesterday, despite a very low-calorie diet until Mon-Tues, I weighed in at 152-lbs, though it was 6pm and I'd been eating and drinking about a gallon of water to that point in the day. My chest and arm measurements went up some, too (I likes me some 'o that!). And it's also only as accurate as your scale is; I take with a grain of salt the readings I get from my good 'ol manual fat calipers and $19 Wal-Mart scale. It's not accurate to a gnat's ass. Take mulitple readings; three is enough. Throw out any anomolous readings until you get three reasonable ones to average. Statistically, when you're working with cheap tools, it'll be more accurate, but not perfect.

Be wary of when you weigh yourself as well. Bump to that!

For consistency I:

Wakeup
Go to the bathroom
Shower & dry off (dry off well!)
Weigh
every time I weigh myself. Since you're doing it on Mondays odds are you can do this first thing in the day, with "first thing" being pretty constant. Right?

Like Bluestreak said, take a few measurments. I've found that the first reading on my scale is usually off by multiple pounds, in either direction. I step on/off the scale alternating feet (left first, right first) until I either get the exact same measurment 3 times in a row, or I alternate between two numbers depending on which food. In that case just split the difference.

I have to do that last bit because my scale can't or won't display odd numbers past the decimal point. So I'll get .6, .4, .6, .4, ... which really means .5 :)

Hmmmmm, too many -v's this morning...
