Okay here is a somwhat disturbing question but I feel it needs to be asked because it is something that would probably effect my weight loss / cutting.
I think I have a slow metabolism, I don't weight a whole lot but my problem is I hardly ever crap. Like once every couple days. I've been ramping up my caloric intake to help sustain my muscle growth and keep me from losing lean mass but I still hardly have to go. Is this unusual? Should I expect a change now that I am eating more? I've been eating a considerably larger amount of food recently and still havent noticed a chance.... or is my body just weird?
Oh and second question... how important is sleep? I ask this only because I have a seriously difficult time sleeping, I've been under a supreme amount of stress with this situation going on with my ex-gf and her family and I pretty much only sleep every other day. I don't feel tired or exhausted, and can do a full workout the next day....

A) The constipation might be caused by a lack of fiber in your diet and/or dehydration. What does your diet look like? Try to be as specific as possible. What is your water intake like?
B) Sleep is pretty important. I think you can "get by" on less than 8 hours a night but not sleeping every other night sounds like it could cause some harm.

My diet is pretty consistent. And Interchange it up a bit with different veggies meals.
Breakfast usually 2 slices whole grain toast with a small amount of cream cheese, and either eggs whites or cottage cheese w/ raspberries.
(snack) Protien Shake in water
Lunch is chicken breast and vegitables (usually squash, zucchuni, or broccolli).
Snack (protien shake & or cheese stick )
Dinner is either Chicken breast or turkey with more vegitables
(workout)
After workout I'll have another protien shake in water, and sometimes a little bit of nuts (macadamia or almonds), or sometimes a small scoop of cottage cheese plain.
That's generally what my diet looks like on a daily basis. I'm pretty consistent with it.
My water intake is pretty good, I drink at least 1gal of water a day.
You'll probably note that my diet has little carbs, the shakes have about 8g of net carbs and the bread about 16g a slice, my body doesn't have very good reaction to carbohydrates so I'm keeping this as low as possible while trying to intake the most amount of protien.

What quantity of vegetables are you eating in the two meals? You might want to increase it or add vegetables to your other meals. It might be a case of low fiber.

It's about 2 cups with each meal. I'll see what I can do to add more fiber to my diet!

coming from a medical background, the constipation could be coming from a myriad of different medical problems. I'd consult your doctor, because as "unpleasant" a topic pooping may be, it is a part of your anatomical and physiological well being.
some things that come to mind are
-diverticulitis
-crohns disease
-bowl obstruction
-tapeworm
Have you been having abdominal pain? Is a specific place in your stomach hurting at all? upper left/right lower left/right? Do you notice any distension (abdominal swelling) that is unusual? If you massage your belly in all the different areas, does a specific place feel unusually rigid or painful when you press on it? And when you do have a bowel movement, what is the colour/consistency.
or it could just be a lack of fiber :P

how important is sleep?
It's when your body lets loose the growth responses to the workout you did that day. So if you skip sleep the night after a workout? It's pretty much like not having done that workout from a strength and growth point of view. You still get the Calories burned from the workout though.
