I can't find any dextrose where i'm from, and people seem to never have heard about it. Having it shipped will cost alot.
Is there any alternative please?
thanks

Smarties candy are pure dextrose. But if you can't find dextrose then you probably can't find Smarties either. Wehre are you from?

I'm guessing you are looking for a post-workout carb source?

You could try waxy maize...or oats. I believe every corner of the planet has oats.

another thing you may want to consider... Division IA Strength and Conditioning Coach Mike Barwis of the the University of Michigan exclusively uses Chocolate Milk post workout. Depending on what your current goals are, it may work for you. No matter what though, a liquid based post workout meal will be absorbed faster.

i know alot of people also use honey. i personally have used bananas in the past to good effect. i put them in a blender with a scoop of whey. it was pretty good, but i'm hooked on the dextrose now.
