I think that does seem to be a side effect with some people. You could try increasing your fibre intake to counter this - veggies & fruit are two of many sources of fibre.

I second euan. In addition to increasing my intake of high fiber foods, I've been taking 3 Fiber Supplement caps 4 times a day or so, and I'm regular as a well calibrated clock.
I do miss reading chapters at a time on the john though.....TMI?

No. TMI would be if you told us what you were reading.

Might be lactose intolerant a bit and using a low grade powder. Also just might take some gut adjustment. I had a little gas when I started using more protein powders, but over time that went away.
A probiotic might help speed things up.

Since starting on my plan I have been having very hard 'concrete S@!~ts' - I have a couple of items of fruit per day and my oats should give some fibre. I'm thinking it could be to the 3 whey shakes per day?
Cheers, Stefan

The first protein powder I bought had an adverse affect on my bowels and would leave me running to the toilet. Different brands haven't had the same affect. I just never bought that first brand again. Shop around.

I'll second that. As long as you're looking for Whey protein (instead of a blend like Nitrean), I've had great success with EAS 100% Whey Protein. They sell it in huge bags at Sams Club. Tastes delicious and has had no adverse effects in the bowel region. :tucool:
