I grind them up in a coffee grinder and put them in my post-workout shake....
I got sick of eating them out of the bowl...just another set of dishes...

Need good carbs? Red potatoes, white potatoes, weight gainer shake, grapefruit, bananas, and the list is seven miles long....

I am a big pasta guy....I am trying to cut down on the bad carbs a bit and turn toward more protein and good clean carbs.

I buy oatmeal which is already pretty well ground up. Cook it with water, then mix in some strawberry flavoured protein powder once it's done. :eat:

I can't stand regular oats, so I eat Steel Cut Oats and mix them with Peanut Butter and Agave Nectar.

They have a much better texture than plain ol' rolled ones. The PB goes a long way in making them taste better as well.

I love oats in any way, shape or form. Right now, they're my only starchy carb source. Like others mentioned, I make porridge by cooking oats and water together and adding protein powder. I also mix oats with cottage cheese, yogurt, SF syrup and fruit. Sometimes I just let the oats soak in water and add stevia, cinnamon and fruit and then I have a protein shake to go with it. Sometimes I make oatmeal/egg white pancakes.

I eat http://www.quaker.fr/sante_nature.html. Sorry, I did not find the same product on the US quaker site.
It is a mix of oat (70%) and wheat fibre (30%) without sugar. It is quite good.

I usually have Quaker steel-cut oats as part of my PWO meal. Normally, I just put in a little splenda ... but lately, I found a splenda-brown sugar mix that I put in. Yes, I live life on the edge.

haha, oh, we must be talking about different cheerios then. There are different cuts of oats (basically the size of the oats). but maybe your oats are old? If you are used to eating sugary cereals they probably will taste fairly chalky. I personally like the taste of them. They are abit tough to eat with just milk though. A lot of people cook them before eating them, or blend them etc.

I just picked up one of those cylinders of Meijers 100% natural rolled oats (not the "quick" kind), and they taste great just straight and raw. Kind of sweet, actually.

I take a scoop and a half of choco protein powder (champion nutrition, tastes like choco milk, i suggest it to anyone who wants great tasting protein) and pour it over 1/2 a cup of dry oats and eat it like cereal. Tastes sort of like coco puffs. I also enjoy them grinded in the blender with protien after a work out.

I just hear of so many people eating oats. What other items could I eat in the morning?
