I just bought a new tub of whey, and when I opened it I discovered a clumpy mixture inside. I have never seen this. It also smells bad. It is orange creme flavor, which I have never had, so I am not sure what to expect flavor/odour wise. I don't think that whey should be clumpy. Am I right to assume this has turned? I am going to return it either way, becuase it just seems gross.

yeah weird eh. the expiry is aug 08 (which is pretty soon considering, so it must have been packaged a long time ago. old stock). I don't care what flavor it is, but whey shouldn't actually smell terrible I don't think. it smells so sour. I guess its irrelavent, I am going to return it anyways.

Perhaps it got some moisture in it? That would cause it to clump, which would also then make it go foul (hence the smell). I would think it should be returned.
