I am new to this forum and have been getting some great advice and motivation.

I am male
Height 5'10
Weight 161lbs
Chest 43
Waist 32
Biceps 14

I have been weight training and doing cardio since Aug 03.

I have some great results. I have lost 35lbs and have built some good muscle and am looking toned.

My goal is to get that six pack showing, the abs are looking good but just need to get the last bit of fat down to get the segments showing. (the top two are getting there if you look in the right kind of light)

So I am still cutting High cardio, and maintaining a weight programme to keep the muscle hard and growing (even if verty little).

After the Summer I a want to build some mass and bulk up. Pecs look good and toned nice cut look but want to beef them up.

Well thats the plans, Update and measurements in a few wekks.

Happy Summer!!! :bb::

Update Username is now HITT MAN.

Still working on those abs, catch em in the right light and they are making a grand entrance. I decided to kep cuting til I am truly happy with the abs and then push to bulk in the Autumn at very latest.
The progress seems real slow on this last bit of b/f.

Lost another 3lbs or so about 158lbs now.
Pecs are getting good definition and arms look muscular 14.5".

I am really pushing the definition as I feel bulk can wait. Chest is 43", not bad, would like them beefed up more though, but I must say with a 32 waist and 43 chest I dont look bad ina t- shirt and pair of jeans if I must say so LOL... keep you posted.

Sorry no digital camera as I would love to post some pics..maybe one day..

42" chest and 32" waist - that's great going buddy. I'm looking forward to the day that I can post similar stats (the height's about right ;)). Have you posted any pics yet?

I say that's a 43" chest, as you know every inch matters!

No digital camer so no pics yet, hopefully I could borrow one.
Off to Italy next week, so a perfect opportunity to show off the new body!!

Happy Summer!!!

Latest update

Down another 4/5 pounds in weight. about 159lbs. This is not an issue anymore, body shape most important.

I am starting to get a little unhappy about body image. Chest 42" waist 32".

Still doing cardio and weights 2/3 times a week although stopped weights for a break whilst on holidays. (2 weeks)

Although toned, with good muscle definition. I feel I look a little scrawny. Feel I need to bulk up now, although not seeing the six pack as I would like. Then I fear I will get fat if I bulk. Help!!!!!

Should I push on cutting to get the abs or move on to Bulking?

I am really facing a dilemma. Just wanting to let off steam a bit!!

Thanks

Well A quick update,

I have turned a corner at last!!!

After agonizing over the six pack and fears of getting too scrawny before I get there ....I am seeing results.

As mentioned before the shifting of the last bit of b/f has seemed to take an age and then not wanting to get to Scrawny looking before that happens.

Well, keeping up the weights (3x a week) and introducing some HIIT as an alternative to regular cardio, and tightening up the diet a little also not forgetting to up the ab workout, I am seeing the abs.!!!! I have to keep having a peek in the mirror every ten mins just to keep believing it. (LOL, my son keeps asking why I am in front of the mirroe again and moaning at my vanity).

As advised by a member earlier, I dont look scrawny as I thought I would, just gonna keep cutting til the end of Summer before the Autumn bulk.

I am amazed that when you get really lean, you can look quite big because of the muscle definition.. This is exiting.. I am getting the body I only used to look on others and wanted....

Weight 157lbs
Waist 32"
Chest 42"
Biceps14"

Happy Summer!! :claphigh:

Happy Summer!! :claphigh:

Well what's new.

The Summer is basically over (finished) here in Britain and I've come to the end of a very long cutting programme,( started Aug 03) mainly maintaining for the last few months.

Statistics:
Height 5'10"
Weight 154lbs (11 Stone)
Chest 42"
Waist 31"
Biceps 13.5"/14"

Have done little weights for two weeks, only cardio for a 10K run which I did in 45.36 mins (not bad).

So after all these months I have a totally different body shape and fitness level.

Looking fairly ripped, toned and good muscle definition. I've been at this stage for what seems an age. I really need to press on to the Bulk, which I have promised all year to start this Autumn.

My plan is to cut the cardio to a minimum over the Winter (probably 2 run a week for 45 mins) up the lbs on the weights, keeping to 3 split workouts a week, and up the Calories as clean as possible.

Looking back although I have maintained, I feel I have sacrificed some muscle especially on the pecs.

Still, I have a good V shape and feel and look good in my jeans and t-shirt.

I dont think I will have too much trouble gaining mass. Just need to put the effort in to the training. Eating is the easy bit.

Just got myself out of a routine the last couple of weeks and need to get back into it. Just lacking a bit of motivation. Still I promise before all those that read this, that October will be the very latest I start and anyway Reno's keeping an eye on me!

Take Care and well done everyone,

Hiit Man
