i had been stuck at 15.5 for quite a while during my bowflex training. i switched to free weights about 1.5 months ago and havent touched the bowflex since. love the bowflex, just seems that ive outgrown it.

first off, im not putting down my weights until my arms look like gtx's

second, thanks

third, i quit drinking about 9 years ago. at my wife's christmas party, which is out of town and were put up at an embassy, we will partake in the alchoholic livation. with that being said, i read somewhere, men's health i think, that for every 1oz of alchohol that you consume that your body quits burning fat for 1 hour. if this the case then my body will resume burning fat at 10:21pm on May 16, 2008.

my god senor frog's was a blast!!! my wife and i both did well while on vacation, my wife has started a diet regimen. she has lost about 30 lbs by doing a weight watchers food log and it is working VERY well for her. there is definatly something to that "accounting for what you eat" theory. i couldnt be prouder of her. anyway, this last one is from senor frog's as well. its as we were leaving and truth be told, it was time to go.

You're wife is really, really white!! Great to hear about her progress though!

So you are saying that after 9 years of not drinking you have decided to drink at the Christmas party?

ok, the only day of the year that we did drink for the last 9 years was at her christmas party, no kids!!! we were in "rome" on vacation so we did as the "romans" were doing. it was a blast but we always realize again why we stopped the social drinking.

Thats cool man...I just was curious...no judgement from me on your decision to imbibe...mainly just props for kicking it for 9 years!:tucool:

I am still blown away by your transformation and like your wife a bit envious of your results so far. Great work!

ryanator i didnt take it as a dig. just an observation. thanks for the kudos as well. what do you guys do for bicep and tricep work. i do dumb bell curls, overhead dumb bell tricep extensions. i also do a home brew move where i stradle my bench, grab a 50lbs dumb bell vertically with both hands and raise it to full extension over my head then bring it back down to my right hip on the side, back to full extension then repeat on left side. it feels like it works lower back, triceps and upper pecs. it hurts like hell, but in a good way.

my other home brew move is to grab 2 50lbs bells and stand with them hanging at my side with my feet shoulder width apart. lift both bells to the bottom of my rib cage and rotate at the waist 90 degrees, lower the bells to full droop, relift bells to rib cage and rotate 180deg to the other side, drop to full droop and repeat for 10 reps. this move, in my opinion, has done more to bring out my obliques and that v-shape whatever it is that runs from your hips to my pubic bone in the front. this is prolly my favorite excersice that i do. if anyone wants i can take a series of stills to show the movement.

I do the typical bicep curls, pull downs on the lat machine (kind of a pull up I guess, but doing it on the lat machine allows for me to use less weight than my body weight and remain more stable). I also will grab a 65-70 lb Db and grab one of the heads with both hands and pull it up to about 2-3 inches from my chin...I can feel a real good burn in the biceps when I do that.

I really like the sound of some of your excersizes for bis though so that would be great if you took some still shots to show us what you do...thanks!
